We all know James puts on a great show, but who else out there right now is worth seeing? anyone i should look out for?

I saw LCD Soundsystem a few months ago and they were excellent - worth seeing live even if you're not familiar with their albums. Like james they are very loose when they play live and the songs seem to really come alive when played in a live setting.

I dont currently have anyone on my 'want to see' list so i'm hoping for a few suggestions here...

AC/DC blew everyone away at Download.

Robert Plant with his new rootsy Americana touring gang.

Stereophonics. Kings of Leon. Skunk Anansie.

Been a good year. Keenly awaiting what I hope and expect will be the highlight: Saturday 18th Dec at the MEN Arena...

Aim - if you can see the fully 'band' and not just Andys dj set well worth the money.

I'd go with:

Arcade Fire
Midlake
Mumford & Sons
The National
Wild Beasts

They've wow-ed me this year.

Got Interpol tickets for next year and have high hopes. Which probably means they'll be shit.

Bollweevils put on a pretty high energy show.

I always liked seeing Chris Isaak. Yeah, I said it. I like Chris Isaak in concert.

of the younger bands, Gaslight Anthem are one of the best, and tho I wasnt as ecstatic as everyone else, Arcade Fire do put on a hell of a show.\
Maximo Park are tremendous live.

going further back...

The Charlatans have always been an amazing live band.
As are The Black Crowes.

as for the best?

Bruce Springsteen & The E St Band.
simply none better.

I've only seen BS&TESB about 30 x - I keep going back just to make sure they're the best! ;-)

It has been about 15 years, but Bjork was something to see at the Detroit State Theater.

Has anyone seen Phoenix?
