I thought that if it was a partnership, it was always alphabetical. And that's the way it always was -Lennon/ McCartney until he changed it a few years back.

Anyway, we all know who wrote what though, cos Maccas are the shit ones.

hmm.... don't most bands work as a unit - think its a bit unfair to credit anyone with more than another to be honest, they all stand together...!

i only really like abbey road though anyway.

It is now but back then the beatles songs were always credited as Lennon/McCartney

I wouldn't have a problem if it had always been done the new way. it's the fact that Macca changed it recently - no need really - does he need anymore credit/ royalties than he has already? It just comes across as an envy thing to me.

It didn't happen. Yoko said NO.

And again, it was just one or two songs

I also hate it when Macca plays Beatles songs in his shows today. It makes me so irrationally angry!

It was hidden at the end of p11. If you were nice I would apologise. But I wouldn't apologise to a Mccartney fan anyway.

It just doesn't make sense to say you are a Beatles fan but hate Paul.

How do you feel about the stuff that seems to come out year after year that John had a history of beating the hell out of his women?

I think that Paul would have been nothing without John Lennon. His music is overly sentimental and lacks any real emotion or depth. They worked well as the Beatles for a while, cos Paul's influence probably knocked the rougher edges off Lennon's songwriting, which helped them to become popular, but as we know, popular does not always equal good.

What john lennon did in his private life is probably greatly exaggerated anyway. But that doens't make his music of any less quality. The fact that he was any angry man (terrible childhood an all), probably added something to his music. And she should have hit him back anyway!
